ORDER THE SHIRT AND POSTER HERE	STOP CHILD PROSTITUTION! A while ago I was watching a documentary on television about child prostitution in India. A camera crew managed to get a hidden camera inside a brothel pretending to be buyers. They were filming as another buyer walked in and the owner of the place lined up all the 10 kids, aged 7-9, in a row. The look on these children's faces was already heartbreaking enough, but the comment of the client was what stuck with me: After watching them for a few minutes he asked the owner: "Don't you have them younger?". What. Is. Wrong. With. These. People.?????????????? I knew I had to initiate something to help stop this ongoing insanity and break the taboo about something we all know is happening but rarely talk about. I started working on a drawing. The result is "Little Miss Child Prostitute". She is a new member of a family of cartoon figures as Little Miss Sunshine, Little Miss Giggles etc. by Roger Hargreaves which I remember from my childhood as being the ultimate images of happy and funny. I added my own version to the group to remind all of us, that too many children are kept in mere slavery and have no sunshine in their lives. "Every day, in many countries of this world, children are bought and sold, transported against their will, and forced into lives of prostitution, slave labor and utter misery." - Statement by UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Mary Robinson. 100 % of the profits from the Little Miss Child Prostitute are donated to the helping organization Stop Kindermisbruik (Stop Child Abuse) Stop Kindermisbruik is a Dutch charity working to free children from prostitution in South East Asia. Last year the foundation got 770 children off the street and the goal this year is to get more than 1000 children more out of prostitution.
